"The purification from the material and attracting of the spiritual is man's mission in this world."

The Lord‘s Sermons 18

 Man‘s free Will

[HHG.01:040,20] "So bear in mind what this means! God‘s wrath can be appeased if Love intercedes, but if the very Love curses you, who will then protect you from the eternal wrath of the Deity and who will then stand between the wrath of God and you? I tell you -- nothing but judgment and damnation! For you are a work of God out of Me. But where is the being that would touch God‘s glory?
For either a work shall go forth after the will of the free might of God‘s eternal holiness - for that is why you were given a free will, namely, that you may recognize the will of God‘s eternal might within you or, if you will not do that, you are of no consequence and shall then recognize God‘s endless might when it will ban you to eternal, burning nothingness.

[HHG.02:259,10-11] Nobody has neither a force nor a power of life within him but the one I bestowed upon him; but for man to be independent I have given him out of Me the completely free will. And all bestowed life forces I made tributary to this free will, as it is out of Me fully like a second god but completely separated of it. And as the will, also his love is free and with it all his cognition.

Why did I construct man that way?  Because I made him to my exact likeness so that he would form himself opposite Me all by himself, meaning: man should build Me within himself according to his measure the way I built him first according to My measure.

[HHG.02:115,02]. "O man, O man! What could you have been to the love of the eternally holy Father, had not your own free will made you unholy before Him!

[SpS.02:105,14] No force whatsoever may be laid against any spirit. His path is defined by his free will coupled with his insight and the spirit‘s love the mode how he should be led on it.

For Me the free will of one human being ranges infinitely higher then a whole solar system with all its planets, moons and comets.

[GGJ.04:108,05] My word, however, is the noble grain of wheat and your free will is the field in which I, as the sower, am sowing the purest grain of My eternal order.

[GGJ.04:225,08] By the rebirth of the spirit into the soul neither its own free will shall be impaired nor its external perception of the mighty creations which will continue to go forth of My love, My wisdom, order, might and power.

[GGJ.06:007,5-6]  Any inner, moral coercion is already in itself a judgment. For, anything a man does not accept and do of his freest will and out of his very own cognition and conviction does not give him life but brings about his judgment. If man is to become quite good and full of the true, spiritual life, he must not be coerced by anything else but his own, quite free and firm will.

Neither law nor reward or punishment must influence him in any way, but only his free belief, his inner conviction and his pure cognition, and only then the obedience of his outer man and his free will, which must stem from the pure love for God and for all that is good and true.
