  Jesus and the Jews
 Beyond Rescue

The temple and the whole country are beyond cleansing and rescue.

It is the third day of the 12 year old Jesus in the temple. During His discussion with the top Temple brass He exchanges arguments with Joram, a young pharisee.

[3DT.01:028 on]
Joram said: "I should not like as yet to consider that a settled matter. With time comes counsel, and Solomon is right in affirming that all in the world is vanity. It might happen some time that Your present prophecy could also pass into the realms of vanity, and that we might still follow out Your counsel, which must be truly and seriously taken to heart. For behold, several of us truly agree with You. Of course, we form only the smallest part of those who dwell in the temple precincts, but we are the high ones, and thus have the unquestionable authority. What do you think about this?"

‘Said I [Jesus]: "At times, it has been so in this house, sometimes even better; yet the better part never prevailed, but always the big crowd, who understood how to make the greatest noise. I tell you and each one who thinks and acts like you, in spite of the more-than-numerous wicked ones: A single, just person shall not pass unnoticed before the Face of God.

A false Ark of the Covenant.

"Generally you have, of course, made a new Ark of the Covenant for yourselves and have procured a new vessel in which to keep the ‘Cursed Water,‘ which no prophet has suggested and which is one of the worst inventions or products of later times. Truly, both were unnecessary! Why have you not rather renewed your hearts in God through a right repentance and transformed your old worldly mind into that of true love and compassion?

"I, the true, old Ark of the Covenant, full of the Spirit of God, stand now before you, saying openly to your faces that your new Ark of the Covenant does not contain even a sunbeam‘s tiny mote of the Spirit of God, but surely a superabundance of the old, most wicked spirit of lust from your hearts; and the ‘Cursed Water‘ is the wretched tears shed over so many worldly losses from which you had expected the greatest gains! Those who betrayed you to the Romans - those whom you could get into your clutches have, for the greater part, died most miserably of that ‘Cursed Water‘!

"But from now on, the thousand-times-cursed water will no longer avail you anything. It was once decided that those who betrayed the temple in divine matters to the enemies of Jehovah would have to drink that ill-famed water of the Dead Sea, like the Philistines, or the bad and benighted heathens of ancient times.
