Judgement for the new Babel
"Friend, the teaching which I am giving you now is the Word of God and stays eternally. Therefore, those people I am talking about will receive from Me the same teaching which you received from Me; but in those times it will not be given to them veiled but fully unveiled in the heavenly and spiritual sense, and this will be the new Jerusalem which will descend to this earth from the heavens."
Situation: Jesus is talking to his listeners (disciples, Jews, Romans etc.) about the times in distant future and uses a nature scene as comparison. When the attention of all is focused on the eastern region, the Lord begins with the prophetic interpretation of this nature scene:

The difficulty of making men change
Pellagius, a Roman is in discussion with Jesus about the hard headedness of many people. He asks the Lord if it would not be a solution to send heavenly spirits to such people to convince them by signs (miracles) of their wrong ways.
To this the Lord replies: "Yes, my friend, it greatly honors your heart to think as you do. But the desire expressed by you has often been put to work by Me in this world as well as sometimes in the next and has always had a good and lasting effect on those who could still be rescued, but none at all on the totally obdurate. more...
