Introduction
|
With Jesus the perception of "Father", "Son" and "Holy Spirit" came into the foreground. The problems started already during Jesus‘ teaching years. We have to be aware that Jesus would communicate with His disciples and His people who overwhelmingly were peasants, herds- and fishermen in easily understandable language.
One should think that Christians today would be mature enough to understand that the three concepts represent the three main qualities of the ONE and ONLY God. Jesus tells us clearly in His New Word that the "Father" means God‘s limitless love, "Son" primarily stands for God‘s Word and wisdom, and "Holy Spirit" God‘s ever present willpower.
All three qualities consisted within God since eternity and are uncreated. The only fact which is new is that since the birth of Jesus, the first Christmas, the center of the infinite Godhead clothed itself with a body of flesh in order to be visible to us. This God-center existed since eternity in the spiritual form of a human body after which He modeled man.
