"The purification from the material and attracting of the spiritual is man's mission in this world."

The Lord‘s Sermons 18

 The invaluable pearl.

[GGJ.8:61, 9-14]: The Lord in the house of Lazarus teaching to his audience of Jews, Greeks and Romans:

"Say yourselves and ponder on it: Would not a merchant who knew that he could buy at an acceptable price one of the largest pearls of inestimable value be extremely foolish if he did not at once sell all his assets of no great value and purchase instead the priceless pearl?

And behold, it is the same with the value of the rebirth of the human soul in its primordial spirit of life out of Me. Is it not worth for a true man to renounce all worldly treasures and to strive with all his might for winning the greatest pearl of life, namely, the rebirth of the soul in the primordial spirit of life with all its powers? And is it not better to provide for the soul's eternal life than for all the transient treasures of the world which pass and decay.

It is true that during the life on this earth the soul absorbs from its flesh all that is analogous to it, changes it into its own nature and after the death of the body gradually also absorbs for its garment what is related to it from the decay-ether. However, this is not a soul's treasure of life, but only a characteristic of every soul, based on My order, and can never be considered a soul's merit, as it is a provision made by Me.

But one thing is certain and true, namely, that with a pure soul that has lived according to My will more from its earthly body will pass into it than with an impure and sinful soul. For if a chaste body was already here a credit to the soul, this will be all the more so in a transfigured spiritual state.

However, even that does not belong to the soul's actual merit of life, for I arranged this as a reward for the soul, and it would be very foolish if it were even for a moment concerned about this also in the beyond imperishable earthly treasure, which is actually part of its self. Such a concern could be compared to that of very foolish parents for whom the only important thing is whether their children will be of a very beautiful and attractive appearance and what they could do towards the realization of their futile foolish wish, not bearing in mind that the growth and appearance depend on the will of God and cannot be changed by men.

Therefore, the only thing that is essential for every soul is to seek - and also find - My realm of life in the little primary life-ventricle of the heart; everything else it will receive as a free gift from Me anyway.
